More about project
I said yes to SỐ ĐỎ II: Hỷ Nộ Ái Ố because it was more than a concert. It was a student-run rock show in Hanoi telling a four-act story—joy, anger, love, sorrow—while blending modern rock with traditional Vietnamese songs.
As Head of Media, I wanted to capture that collision of sound and identity—but also its purpose: the show raised funds for Agent Orange victims and a local charity center. Documenting art that also helps heal felt like the right place for my camera.
From rehearsals to the final encore, I chased emotion through the lens: the punch of drums in anger, a quiet glance in sorrow, the crowd swelling during joy. Between cues, I kept reminding my team that every frame carried a cause—that our coverage could bring more eyes (and donations) to Agent Orange survivors and the community center we supported.
This project taught me that media work isn’t just aesthetics—it’s responsibility. I learned to lead under pressure, to translate noise into narrative, and to use visuals to amplify impact. After SỐ ĐỎ II, my goal is simple: keep telling stories where art moves people—and helps people.
