Since I was little, every Lunar New Year’s Eve, my mom and I visit the National Children’s Hospital in Hanoi to bring food and gifts to children battling cancer and chronic illnesses. While they spend the holiday away from home, these visits remind me that kindness doesn’t need to be grand — it simply means being there when joy feels far away.
